Joyceann Gray (middle row, second from the left) is pictured here at Harewood with several members of the JCBHPS (James Taylor, James Tolbert, Linda Ballard, George Rutherford, and Dolly Nasby).

On Sunday afternoon, 7 June 2015, Joyceann Gray had the opportunity to visit the Washington family home where her slave ancestors lived and worked in Jefferson County, West Virginia.  Several members of the Jefferson County Black History Preservation Society (JCBHPS) also were present.  To read more about Joyceann’s amazing experience, click here.
